Many Americans are pretty sure that Donald Trump is going to win the Republican nomination for the 2024 presidential election that's coming up soon.
If not Trump, Ron DeSantis seems to be next, but he hasn't even declared his intentions yet.
So, the Washington Examiner wants to know:
Why not Tim Scott?
You don't have to be Scott's biggest fan to realize that the Republican from South Carolina is finding his groove at just the right time.
If there's ever a time to be gaining momentum toward the 2024 election, it's right now. Scott has called for "common ground" conservatism and promises we can look forward to a "new American sunrise."
That's quite the opposite of Trump's ideas that we need revenge on liberals for his 2020 loss.
Scott himself has called the GOP the "Grand Opportunist Party," and could he be the next man to seize the opportunity?
According to the Examiner, he's "the right man at the right time" to do so.
