Conservatives suggest Biden phone call to campaign staffers was recorded
Several conservative voices speculated on Monday that a phone call made by President Joe Biden to his former campaign staff was a recording after Vice President Kamala Harris started to say "recording" instead of phone call.
Biden told Harris, "I'm watching you, kid."
She then said after some awkward silence, "Joe, I know you're still on the rec… on the call."
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) said, "Did Kamala spill the beans? Was it a recording? That's what she started to say." Charlie Kirk and Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) also commented on the call.
Biden has not been seen in public since he announced via a social media post that he would step down from seeking re-election in 2024.
He was diagnosed with COVID-19, but his doctor said earlier this week that he has almost completely recovered from that ailment. Biden delivered a speech to the nation from the Oval Office on Wednesday evening, and it was hoped by many that he would have explained where he's been.
