Congressional candidate suspends campaign after realizing he was 'pawn' for Democrats

Thomas Bowman thought that he was taking steps to achieve his dream of a career in important public service.

He recently realized he wasn't doing anything of the sort.

Instead, the independent running in Minnesota's 2nd Congressional District has decided he was nothing more than a "pawn" for Democrats deceptively working to split the conservative vote in the area.

Bowman was convinced to run by what he thought was a conservative group, the Patriots Run Project.

It turns out that the Patriots Run Project was a complete scam being run by Democrats. Instead of picking pro-Trump conservatives with a chance to win, like their mission stated, they were actually Democrats putting forth candidates that they thought would split the Republican vote and make things easier for liberals.

"I certainly spent a lot of time and effort influencing the race as a pawn in this scheme here,"  Bowman said.
