Congressional Candidate Age Limit Proposed In ND Case That Could Serve As National Template

 March 16, 2024

The dinosaurs who have been ruling America's government for decades may be finally getting the news they dread but the rest of America has known it's long time for.

Could an age limit for Congressmen be coming soon?

It's not necessarily going to happen tomorrow, but we have confirmed reports indicating that America's government is at least looking into it.

North Dakota may soon become the first American state to set an age limit for American Senate and House candidates under a measure that may be presented to voters in June of 2024, as U.S News and World Reports explains.

It should be noted that it's pretty unclear as to whether an age limit on federal officeholders would violate America's constitution.

Still, North Dakota is going to proceed with its exploration.

"It’s been an issue in North Dakota, it’s been an issue nationally," said measure chairman Jared Hendrix who successfully set term limits for North Dakota's governor and Legislature in 2022. He added:

We don’t want to have those problems here, so it’s not some theoretical legal position. I mean, these are actual situations with real consequences.
