Comer still wants FBI document on Biden

House Oversight Chairman James Comer (R-KY) still wants to see an FBI document that allegedly details a criminal scheme involving then-Vice President Joe Biden after the agency refused to comply with a subpoena earlier in the month.

A whistleblower had alerted the panel to the existence of the document, noting that he had informed the bureau of Biden's actions but gotten no response.

Comer sent a letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray on Friday, practically accusing the bureau of a cover-up for its refusal to product the document.

“The FBI’s delay in producing a single, unclassified record is unacceptable,” Comer said in a statement. “The information provided by a whistleblower raises concerns that then-Vice President Biden allegedly engaged in a bribery scheme with a foreign national. The FBI must provide this record to Congress without further delay. The American people demand the truth and accountability for any wrongdoing. That starts with getting this record.”

The FBI tried to dodge the subpoena by giving background information and a summary of the document, but Comer wasn't satisfied.

The bureau will meet with the committee again on Monday, but its officials should be in a lot of trouble if they won't let lawmakers see the document that could prove Biden is a criminal.
