Chris Christie, New Jersey's former governor, claims that he has what it takes to win a national general election.
It's looking like he's not even going to have enough stuff to make it out of the primaries.
Only 18% of Republicans currently view Christie in a positive light, while 73% disapprove of him.
You don't have to be a mathematician to realize that those are NOT good numbers. The man is an incredible FIFTY-FIVE points underwater.
But we expected such a result out of Christie, who has widely been considered nothing but a Republican In Name Only for years now.
Former Vice President Mike Pence, however, was beloved by Republicans just a few short years ago.
Now, he's almost as unpopular as Christie.
But not quite.
Just 30% of Republican voters currently view Pence in a favorable light.
The bad news doesn't end there, as 63% of voters see him an unfavorable light.
That's THIRTY-THREE points underwater.
Pence and Christie probably have a better shot than I do at winning the Republican primary, but that's about it.
