China says Biden administration is 'dramatizing' spy balloon incident

 February 13, 2023

China is fighting back after the U.S. shot down it's spy balloon by accusing Congress of “dramatizing” the story after the House of Representatives unanimously approved a resolution condemning China.

That resolution, H. Res. 104, stated that "Chinese Communist Party’s use of a high-altitude surveillance balloon over United States territory."

Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul (R-TX), one of the resolution's sponsors, said "They only understand one thing, and that is force, and that’s projecting power, and we need to project power and force and strength against the Chinese Communist Party.”

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning responded to this by saying "The U.S. Congress’s resolution is purely about scoring political points and dramatizing the whole thing. China deplores it and firmly opposes it."

China is accusing the U.S. of engaging in theatrics, and it's hard to argue they are wrong.

President Biden is more concerned with protecting himself politically and his weakness is what caused this situation in the first place. Until we have someone strong in leadership, there is little hope of holding China accountable.
