Chicago mayor blames Texas for death of migrant child

 December 20, 2023

President Joe Biden's border crisis has worsened in unimaginable ways, including most recently, the death of a young child at an overcrowded migrant shelter in Chicago.

According to Breitbart, instead of blaming the root of the actual problem -- which is the Biden administration's ridiculously lax and unsafe border policies, Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson (D) blamed the state of Texas.

Breitbart noted:

City officials said that five-year-old Jean Carlos Martinez Rivero said he was “not feeling well” on Sunday in a shelter on the 2200 block of South Halsted. The boy was then taken to Comer Children’s Hospital by ambulance, where he died that day, WMAQ-TV reported.

Johnson attacked both Texas and Gov. Greg Abbott for the death of the sick migrant child who died in an overcrowded Chicago shelter.

His point of attack was the insistence that migrants are "showing up sick" to Chicago shelters, and other shelters around the country.

"The issue is not just how we respond in the City of Chicago, it’s the fact that we have a governor — a governor, an elected official — in the State of Texas that is placing families on buses without shoes, cold, wet, tired, hungry, afraid, traumatized, and then they come to the City of Chicago where we have homelessness, we have mental health clinics that have been shut down and closed, you have people that are seeking employment," Johnson said.

"At every single site throughout the City of Chicago, we provide on-site medical care," Johnson said during his Dec. 18 press conference, failing to acknowledge that he's currently at war with Black residents of the city, who feel that the city is prioritizing illegal aliens over its own residents.

"I want you to hear me good," Johnson said during his rant to the press, "They’re showing up sick. Do you hear me? They’re showing up sick."

He also failed to acknowledge that sick migrants are being transported freely across the United States thanks to Biden's policies. Before, migrants were screened for illness before they were moved anywhere. Now, they're just sent by the busload to major cities, willy-nilly.

That didn't stop him from attacking Gov. Abbott, going as far as suggesting that he's "attacking" the United States.

"The governor of Texas needs to take a look in the mirror of the chaos he is causing for this country," Johnson said. "This is not just a Chicago dynamic. He is attacking our country. The sensibility and civility of our country — he is undermining that."

Progressive or not, if Johnson was an honest individual with even a shred of integrity, he'd blame the actual problem -- the Biden administration.

That'll probably never happen.
