Cardi B appears at Harris rally, struggles through speech when teleprompter fails
Rapper Cardi B, who's known for sexually explicit music and for admitting to drugging and robbing men, appeared at a rally in Wisconsin for Kamala Harris.
Despite claiming that she was done with endorsing presidential candidates, Cardi B appears to have been strong-armed into endorsing Harris. Her appearance was a disaster for the Harris campaign due to serious technical problems that disrupted the event.
Cardi B was so unprepared for her speech that when the teleprompter began to fail, she had to tell the crowd, "One second guys, one second."
Eventually, she had to call an aide over to help, but the issue couldn't be fixed, leading to the use of a cell phone for the speech's delivery.
Ironically, Cardi B said, "I took my time writing this speech, so I’m going to make sure I deliver it right," which doesn't add up, considering she was completely unable to deliver her speech extemporaneously.
Wisconsin is a key swing state that could decide the outcome of the presidential election on Tuesday, and both Trump and Harris are fighting bitterly to secure it. Trump won there in 2016 but lost to Joe Biden in 2020, and the state is now considered a tossup that could go either way.
