Buttigieg Apologizes For 'Losing Train Of Thought'

 February 25, 2023

Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg refused to visit the site of the disastrous Midwestern train derailment until he heard that former President Donald Trump was going to show up and make sure that real Americans knew who REALLY cared about them.

As a result, Buttigieg decided to visit East Palestine, Ohio, the very next day after Trump visited. Obviously LOOKING concerned was much more important for Buttigieg and his husband than actually being concerned was.

And once he got there, he showed how little he really cared about these people, instantly putting his foot in his mouth.

It may not have been intentional, but Pete really should have been trying to avoid using puns that refer to locomotives at the site of a train disaster.

"So I think — sorry I lost my train of thought," Buttigieg said at the site of a railroad disaster.
