Burisma lawyer registers as foreign agent retroactively raising more questions about Hunter Biden

 January 7, 2024

A lawyer who worked for Ukrainian energy company Burisma eight years ago has retroactively registered as a foreign agent, a fact which has put the spotlight back on Hunter Biden, who was on the energy firm's board at the time.

The retroactive registration has raised speculation that Hunter Biden could now face FARA charges and further complicate his father's reelection campaign.

Hunter Biden is facing a slew of criminal charges and indictments ranging from gun charges to tax evasion. Biden also faces accusations of money laundering, racketeering, and wire fraud.

As for Burisma, Biden is accused of being part of a $10 million bribery scheme with former Burisma head Mykola Zlochevsky.

It is also suspected that President Joe Biden, who was vice president at the time, was also involved and received money as part of that bribery scheme according to an internal document from the FBI.

This retroactive filing of the Burisma lawyer as a foreign agent has strengthened accusations against Biden, and that isn't the news he wanted right now.
