Doug Burgum Suspends Presidential Campaign

 December 7, 2023

North Dakota Republican Gov. Doug Burgum has officially called off his 2024 race for the presidency.

Burgum was the 12th Republican candidate to announce a presidential run when he first launched his campaign back in June.

The governor apparently thought he could gain traction as a candidate, but he was perhaps basing that idea on prior successes in the business world and as governor of his home state.

When it came to the rest of the nation, he barely polled 2%.

'We remain committed to improving the lives of every American by moving America 180 degrees in the opposite direction of Joe Biden on three critical issues – the economy, energy, and national security,” said Burgum.

Burgum is not the first Republican to drop out of the run for the presidency in recent weeks, and we are certain he won’t be the last.

Now, we are one step closer to another showdown between former President Donald Trump and President Joe Biden.

And if Trump is the man we think he is, he will get the job done once and for all.
