Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer (D) is now in a dead heat with Republican challenger Tudor Dixon in the latest polling released Sunday by the Trafalgar Group.
Whitmer and Dixon each had 48% support in the poll with two percent undecided.
Dixon entered the race after the August primary double digits behind Whitmer, but made gains on Whitmer after a recent debate in which she got Whitmer to admit that she supports unrestricted abortion and pointed out that she has used executive orders to unilaterally go over the legislature's head on many issues.
In fact, Whitmer had her "emergency powers" removed by the State Supreme Court in the aftermath of COVID lockdowns.
Dixon has been endorsed by former President Donald Trump and the DeVos family, as well as many police organizations and the Detroit News.
