Democrat gubernatorial candidate in Florida Charlie Crist insulted millions of Floridians on Wednesday by saying that those who voted for Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) had "hate" in their hearts and he didn't want their votes.
About four million people voted for DeSantis in 2018, but he has gained popularity since then.
“Those who support the governor should stay with him and vote for him, and I don’t want your vote,” he said. “If you have that hate in your heart, keep it there. I want the vote of the people of Florida who care about our state."
Despite the incredible divisiveness of his rhetoric, he then called for unity.
Looks like he's taking a page out of the Democrat party playbook, but it doesn't seem like its going to work any better fro him than it does for President Joe Biden or any other Democrat these days.
