Bexar County, TX Sheriff Javier Salazar (D) called out President Joe Biden, and Vice President Kamala Harris for going missing as the crisis on the southern border has worsened.
During an interview with MSNBC's "Jose Diaz-Balart Reports," on Friday, Salazar said that "the perception is that there's been a complete absence from Washington, DC."
Salazar and the other law enforcement leaders are desperate for help, and yet President Biden and his Vice President have hardly acknowledged the crisis, let alone taken substantial action to solve the situation.
During the interview, Salazar pleaded with Biden saying, "Mr. President, we need your help. With all due respect, the perception here, what I've seen in talking to other law enforcement leaders in my precious state of Texas is the perception is that there's been a complete absence from Washington, DC. Now, I know that you've got a whole world to protect and serve. However, here down in Texas, we need your help."
The crisis at the southern border is no longer a partisan issue, it's an issue that is affecting the whole nation, and without action, people will continue to die.
The recent tragedy of over 50 illegal immigrants perishing in a tractor-trailer has illustrated just how bad things are. If Biden can't act to solve this crisis, he must be replaced by someone who will act.
