Russian forces have suffered a series of serious setbacks, and now Vladimir Putin is turning to increasingly desperate measures to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat. His latest move is to rain death from the skies by targeting Ukraine's power grid.

Russian forces are now targeting civilian infrastructure, especially power stations, in an effort to make life even worse for millions of Ukrainians as winter begins to set in.

Kyrylo Tymoshenko, a key advisor to President Volodymyr Zelensky, revealed that roughly 1.5 million Ukrainians are out of power as temperatures begin their winter plunge threatening the lives of millions of civilians.

The attacks on Ukraine's power system were "the largest attack on an energy system in European history," according to Volodymyr Kudrytskyi, the chief of Ukrainian energy firm Ukrenergo.

Kudrytskyi continued by saying, "The enemy has one goal -- to sow panic among the population, intimidate energy workers, bring the energy system to a crisis state."

While the United States must remain out of the conflict with nuclear-armed Russia, the war needs to be brought to a close before untold numbers of Ukrainians die from exposure and lack of resources.
