A new poll showed that most Hispanic voters support former President Donald Trump's Title 42 rule that allows illegal immigrants to be sent back to their home countries over health concerns.
Axios found that 51% of Hispanic voters surveyed favored keeping Title 42, while 44% opposed.
The Biden administration tried to end the Trump-era rule, but a federal judge ordered him to keep it in place after 21 states sued the CDC over the rule, which was instituted during COVID-19.
Among second and third-generation Hispanics, 58 and 59% support the rule.
Hispanics have been moving toward Republican candidates, and the poll also found that seven percent more Hispanics trust Republicans with the economy than Democrats.
