President Joe Biden tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday, and Fox News was quick to point out that more than 200 members of Congress and several of Biden's top administration officials have all tested positive for the virus since it began to spread in 2020.
Biden tweeted that he was "doing great" after the diagnosis, and the media has been quick to point out that he was fully vaccinated and boosted twice.
Two lawmakers died from the virus, but one was diagnosed in December 2020 before vaccines were available, and the other had suffered with cancer for a long time before the COVID diagnosis in January.
Biden's symptoms have included a runny nose, occasional dry cough, and fatigue.
His infection contradicts the narrative that vaccination prevents infection, which has come under question in recent months.
