Representative Liz Cheney (R-WY) proclaimed that if Donald Trump is the presidential nominee in 2024, it will kill the Republican Party.
Cheney made the absurd claim during a Sunday interview on ABC's "This Week," as she struggles to save her political career even as she embraces the radical left.
During the interview, host Jon Karl asked Cheney, "Can the Republican Party survive in the way you've known it if Donald Trump is again chosen?"
Cheney responded by saying, "I think that he can't be the Party nominee and I don't think the Party would survive that. I believe in the Party and I believe in what the Party can be and what the Party can stand for and I'm not ready to give that up. Those of us who believe in Republican principles and ideals have a responsibility to try to lead the Party back to what it can be and to reject so much of the toxin and the vitriol."
Representative Cheney has tied her political fortunes to the witchhunt against Trump and has spent the last year trying to convince Republicans that Trump is some kind of cancer to the Party.
The reality is that Donald Trump is the most popular Republican and it isn't even close. On the other hand, Cheney is extremely unpopular and is in danger of losing her seat in the upcoming Wyoming primary.
