On Independence Day, President Joe Biden made a big claim in front of the nation.
America's best days "still lie ahead."
Americans have been conflicted about the message ever since he said it.
Should we believe him? Should we not?
One of the reasons to believe him is the simple fact that things can't get much worse than they are right now.
However, how can we believe that things will get better if he's the man in charge of doing it?
We've seen Joe across two terms as VP and now running the show himself, and each performance has ended a little more disastrously than the last.
The Fourth of July is a sacred day in our country – it's a time to celebrate the goodness of our nation, the only nation on Earth founded based on an idea: that all people are created equal.
Make no mistake, our best days still lie ahead.

While we celebrate the Fourth of July, I am thinking of the countless service members who have pledged their lives to defend our nation and democracy around the world.
We are forever in debt to those who sacrifice so much to keep us safe.

Kamala Harris took a little time out of her holiday to play on Twitter as well:
This Fourth of July, as we celebrate the liberty our brave service members fought and died for, let us fight to ensure every American can enjoy the freedoms promised in the Declaration of Independence and the rights secured by the generations who came before us.
