Fox News assembled four different experts to weigh in on how the economy will impact the midterm elections in November, just four months from now.

Tulsi Gabbard, a former Democrat lawmaker and presidential candidate, said Democrats in Washington are "disconnected" from economic reality and more concerned with "messaging" than actually doing anything, which presumably would hurt them in the midterms. She said that voters are looking for "leaders who are going to bring solutions and actually take action to start to address these problems."

Kellyanne Conway, who was counselor to former President Donald Trump, encouraged Republicans to advocate policies that "benefit the job creator, the job seeker and the job holder" and said, "the contrast of the Trump economy and Biden economy couldn't be more stark."

Executive vice president at the National Taxpayers Union (NTU) Brandon Arnold said recession is inevitable and the only question is "how severe it will be." He predicted midterm losses for Democrats that would be severe unless Republicans made "unforced errors" or the recession was very shallow.

Former press secretary under George W. Bush and Fox News contributor Ari Fleischer said, "The Democrats are in big trouble, with or without a recession," adding that he thought even Democrats in "safe seats" would lose if there is a recession.
