Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas will be impeached should Republicans take power in November after evidence emerged that he was aware that the "whipping" allegations against border patrol agents were false, and yet he did nothing to clear the story up.
Democrats claimed last year that border patrol agents had been whipping migrants crossing the Rio Grande river and Mayorkas was all too eager to back up the allegations.
However, thanks to a Freedom of Information Act request filed by the Heritage Foundation reveals that Mayorkas knew the truth of the matter. That didn't stop him from demonizing border patrol agents and invoking the idea that somehow racism had played a role in the incident.
During a press conference, Mayorkas claimed that "Our nation saw horrifying images that do not reflect who we are. We know that those images painfully conjured up the worst elements of our nation's ongoing battle against systemic racism."
The story was ridiculous from the start, and Mayorkas's decision to sacrifice his agents on the alter of progressivism shows that he isn't fit for his office.
The only thing keeping Mayorkas out of the unemployment line is Democrat's tenuous hold on power that could be broken in next month's elections.
