U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland could very easily face impeachment proceedings because of the Department of Justice's failure to enforce a federal statute that prevents protesting against or intimidating Supreme Court justices outside of their personal residences.
If Republicans take the majority in the House of Representatives this fall (they will), then Garland's going down.
The federal government has done pretty much NOTHING to protect our Supreme Court Justices despite knowing full well how many lunatics out there want to harm them.
Many lawmakers have sent pleas to the federal government asking them to enforce some sort of law and order in relation to the judges.
So far, the federal government has done nothing.
That's a problem.
Today, @GovernorVA and I sent a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland calling on the Department of Justice to provide adequate resources to keep the Supreme Court justices and their families safe amid ongoing protests at their homes. pic.twitter.com/6D0bMGSp3q
