BREAKING: He's Officially Resigning And Donald Trump Is Cheering - Report Confirmed....

October 10, 2022

Senator Ben Sasse (R-NE) is expected to resign from his position in December, and no one is happier to see him leaving the Senate than former President Donald Trump.

An announcement from the University of Florida on Thursday confirmed that Senator Sasse is the finalist in their presidential search committee, and Senator Sasse has made it clear he is going to accept.

Senator Sasse announced on Twitter that, "UF is the most important institution in the nation's most economically dynamic state. Washington partisanship isn't going to solve these workforce challenges – new institutions and entrepreneurial communities are going to have to spearhead this work. If UF want to go big, I'm excited about the wide range of opportunities."

Rahul Patel, the chair of the school's presidential search committee, explained why Sasse was picked, saying, "This is right for the University of Florida, right for the state of Florida and right for the Sasse family. Ben brings intellectual curiosity, a belief in the power and potential of American universities, and an unmatched track record of leadership spanning higher education, government and the private sector."

The match is certainly good if it removes a Never-Trump Republican from a seat that could be quickly filled by an America First candidate of Trump's choosing.

Senator Sasse voted to impeach Trump in 2020, and with that, killed off any chance of rising in the Republican Party's ranks. His exile to Florida will remove one more obstacle to Trump's control of the Republican Party.
