Assistant Cook County State's Attorney Jim Murphy resigned from his position, citing Cook County State's Attorney Kim Foxx's political activism as the reason for his resignation after 25 years.
Foxx became notorious nationwide after she dropped charges against actor Jussie Smollett over his infamous hate crime hoax.
But Foxx's issues aren't just in her political beliefs that affect her ability to fight for justice. According to Murphy's scathing letter, Foxx has mismanaged her responsibilities, and as a result, it is impossible for the justice system to function.
Murphy wrote, "If this administration was truly concerned with effectively fighting violent crime, then they would fully staff those courtrooms and units. Meanwhile the rest of us are overworked, overstressed, and under-resourced. But at least we were allowed to wear jeans in July."
But he reserved his strongest criticism last, saying, "This administration is more concerned with political narratives and agendas than with victims and prosecuting violent crime. That is why I can't stay any longer."
Kim Foxx is just one of dozens of criminal justice leaders who aren't qualified for their position, and Americans are paying the price. Murphy's resignation should be a wake-up call that reminds Americans that leftists who refuse to do their jobs must be removed from their positions.
