It has only been a year since Benjamin Netanyahu was forced out of office, but Israel has just welcomed him back with open arms.

Netanyahu just won the election for prime minister, even if it is the fifth time Israelis have voted in the last three years.

At 73, Netanyahu has been the nation's longest-serving PM, starting in 2009 and only leaving office in 2021 after a bunch of smaller parties made a coalition and ousted him.

That coalition fell apart after less than a year, and the Likud party Netanyahu still leads was able to restore its majority.

Netanyahu said he would "restore Israel as a rising power" when he takes office.
