Democrats on the January 6 Committee have subpoenaed former President Trump nearly a year after the Committee was formed. But according to Republicans, the subpoena is a "made-for-TV prop," as the Committee is set to be disbanded if Republicans win in the midterm elections next month.
Representative Jim Banks (R-IN) told Fox News Digital that, "Everything the January 6th Committee does is a performance. The good news is that in a few months, they'll no longer be able to make a mockery of Congress's investigative authority."
The January 6th committee wants Trump to testify in front of Congress, but many are questioning why the Committee waited until they were out of time.
Representative Andy Biggs (R-AZ) was one of those individuals who questioned the process behind the decision.
Biggs took to Twitter to say, "The Committee held NINE hearings before voting to subpoena President Trump. If they were serious about finding the truth, why didn't they subpoena the President months ago?"
Donald Trump has little to fear from the January 6th committee, and liberals are going to be furious when the Committee is disbanded, having accomplished nothing but wasting taxpayer dollars.
