Florida polling by Echelon Insights shows that Governor Ron DeSantis (R) has a double-digit lead over Democrat challenger Charlie Crist, 52% to 42%, when respondents were asked who they would vote for if the race was held today.
In the poll, 43% said they would "definitely" vote for DeSantis, while only 31% said they would "definitely" vote for Crist.
A USA Today/Suffolk poll had DeSantis at 48% and Crist at 41%.
Both polls have a slightly more than 4% margin of error.
DeSantis has gained national attention for flying 50 illegal immigrants to Martha's Vineyard. The move exposed the hypocrisy of Democrats, who claim to support open borders but are outraged when migrants show up in their communities.
