Polling in Florida is showing incumbent Governor Ron DeSantis (R) with a healthy lead over his potential Democrat opponents for his re-election bid in 2024.
The University of North Florida poll released on Tuesday gave DeSantis an eight-point lead among registered voters over former Governor Charlie Crist (D) and a seven-point lead over Commissioner of Agriculture and Consumer Services Nikki Fried (D).
Polling showed Fried with a slight lead over Crist at this point in the race.
DeSantis recently appeared at a Turning Point USA rally for two Trump-backed Florida candidates in the midterm elections and said that election night in November is when “America fights back.”
"We’re going to be fighting back against Joe Biden’s failed leadership. We’re going to be fighting back against lockdown politicians all over this country who ruin people’s lives, and we’re going to be fighting back against a failed congress, which will result in the retirement of Nancy Pelosi," he said.
