Fox News host Tucker Carlson reacted Thursday to the news that New York City bodega owner Joseph Alba was being charged with murder for defending himself against an attacker.
He opened with a monologue in which he said the left wants to take away people's rights to defend themselves and their families.
"Self-defense is the cornerstone of all liberty," Carlson said. "If you can’t defend your own life and property, you have no rights at all."
Not only are politicians on the left taking this position, according to Carlson, but so is big tech and the media, who shut down Alba's GoFundMe so he can't even raise money for his defense.
"You can’t even defend your own life or the life of your family. That’s what they’re saying. That’s not a reassuring message. It’s really ominous," he said.
