Fox News host Tucker Carlson was incredulous on Thursday over President Joe Biden administration's failure to acknowledge that the U.S. has entered a recession with the report that the GDP has now declined two quarters in a row.
Although two consecutive quarters of decline has long been the accepted indicator of a recession, Biden blatantly ignored those numbers and declared that there is not a recession.
Carlson called it "one of the weirdest presidential briefings ever conducted."
"Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play? It was completely bizarre," Carlson said of Biden's refusal to admit what just about everyone already knows.
It may not yet be a terrible recession, according to the numbers, but it is a recession, no matter what Biden desperately wants us to believe.
