Republican Georgia Senate Candidate Herschel Walker is ahead of Sen. Raphael Warnock (D) by three points in the latest polling there, Breitbart reported.
The Fox 5/Insider Advantage poll showed Walker with 48% support and Warnock with 45%.
Recent Trafalgar and Rassmussen polls have shown Walker ahead 2% and 5%, respectively. Real Clear Politics average of polls has Walker ahead of Warnock by 1.6%, but also predicts that there will be a runoff election.
In Georgia, if no candidate gets 50%, there will be a runoff election between the top two candidates to determine who gets the seat. Both Warnock and Jon Ossoff (D) won their seats in special runoff elections in 2021 despite not being the top vote-getters in the general election. Ossoff is not up for re-election until 2026.
Libertarian Chase Oliver has a chance of getting enough votes to force a runoff in its election, forcing Walker to in essence win twice.
