Trump-backed Alaska Senate candidate Kelly Tshibaka has raised more money than incumbent Republican Lisa Murkowski.
Tshibaka's donations have come mostly from Alaska residents, while 85% of Murkowski's have come from donors that don't even live in the state.
While out of state donations can buy ads and other get-out-the vote efforts, Alaska-based donations mean that the donor will likely vote for Tshibaka, which is better.
Murkowski has long faced criticism that she cares more about the national scene than representing her state, which has not endeared her to voters.
Neither has voting with Democrats on a regular basis, which she has also done.
