CNN's CEO Chris Licht announced that "more changes" were on the way for the network following the departure of Brain Stelter, who hosted CNN's flagship show Reliable Sources with Brian Stelter.
During an editorial call on Friday, Licht stated that "I want to acknowledge that this is a time of significant change, and I know that many of you are unsettled. There will be more changes, and you might not understand it or like it."
Stelter's exit is one of the biggest moves that Licht has made to change the image of the network.
Licht wants to shift CNN's public perception from being anti-Trump and ultra-leftist to a more non-partisan and objective news source.
Stelter couldn't fit in with Licht's new vision for CNN which is why he got canned despite his high-profile image at the network.
According to one CNN staffer, "No one is safe or secure right now." If that is indeed the case, it will be exciting to see who else gets axed by the network in the coming weeks.
