Former WH press secretary Jen Psaki claimed she was 'worried' about Biden after debate

MSNBC host and former White House press secretary Jen Psaki revealed that she was "worried" for President Joe Biden over the summer after his disastrous debate that led to his exit from the presidential race.

During a conversation with The Atlantic writer Mark Leibovich at the Texas Tribune Festival on Friday, Psaki explained, "Well, watching it [The Debate], my first reaction was not, ‘Oh my gosh, Trump is going to win the election.’ That was not my reaction. I care about him as a human being. And my first reaction was, I do care about him a lot, was like, ‘Is he OK?'"

She continued saying, "Honestly, it was like, ‘Is he OK? And I don’t say that because I was feeling like I was going to go on Twitter and be alarmist, but I care for him as a person,” she continued. “I was worried about him as a person."

Biden's performance vindicated what Trump and Republicans had said since 2019. Biden was too old to be president and Democrats had lied to the American people about Biden's health.

Psaki herself played a strong role in that deception as she often covered for Biden's many red flags in her capacity as White House press secretary. That hasn't changed with her new career as a talking head at MSNBC.

Democrats have tried to act as though they were unaware of Biden's failing health, but that requires a generous suspension of disbelief. Vice President Kamala Harris knew, Jen Psaki knew, and they all still insisted that Biden was sharp and ready for another term until Trump blew the whole thing to pieces.
