Brazilian reality TV star dies after botched knee liposuction procedure
Tragedy struck a Brazilian family as well as the entire Brazilian television industry when a top star "suddenly" died last week.
According to Breitbart, Brazilian reality TV star and social media influencer Luana Andrade died at age 29, leaving family, friends, and fans around the country and the world absolutely shocked.
Her boyfriend of two years, Joao Hadad, shared the devastating news in an Instagram post.

"I am torn apart and living my biggest nightmare. A part of me left," he wrote.
"We built a beautiful story and lived our dreams intensely," Hadad added. In addition to being a girlfriend, you are and will always be a partner beyond life, my love. … You are my light, princess. I ask that you continue to watch over me and all of us from above. I will always love you, from now until eternity!"
Andrade reportedly suffered complications after undergoing what should have been a routine surgery to remove body fat from her knee. The hospital released a statement on the tragic news.
"The surgery was interrupted, and the patient underwent tests that revealed massive thrombosis. She was transferred to the ICU where she underwent medication and hemodynamic treatment," the hospital reportedly said.
Post-operation, she experienced a respiratory event and went into cardiac arrest two hours later.
She was found to have massive thrombosis.

The mega-popular social media influencer ultimately died as a result of a "massive pulmonary embolism" a day after the surgery, according to reports.

Andrade was best known for starring in Season 6 of the Brazilian reality TV show Power Couple alongside Hadad, whom she began dating in 2021.
Earlier this year, she announced she had become a new stage assistant for the Brazilian show Domingo Legal.
Social media users, including many of her fans, reacted to the horrifying turn of events, with many reacting negatively to the idea that knee liposuction is even a thing.
"What is knee liposuction? influencers so obsessed with being perfect it killed her, wow," one X user wrote.
