Bodycam footage shows shooting death of pardoned J6 protestor
President Donald Trump had given him another chance, but it all came to a sudden end.
A convicted Jan. 6 protestor pardoned by Trump was shot and killed after he was pulled over for a traffic stop, according to the New York Post.
Matthew Huttle, 42, "told an Indiana police officer that he 'can’t go to jail' and threatened to kill himself before the cop shot him dead at a traffic stop, dramatic bodycam footage shows."
"I can’t go to jail for this, sir," Huttle says in video obtained by Fox News.
Huttle was initially pulled over for driving 70 m.p.h. in a 55 m.p.h. zone, and the interaction seemed to be going relatively well at first.
At one point in the conversation, Huttle turned fidgety and nervous.
"I just want you to know I’m a January 6 defendant. I stormed the Capitol," he tells the officer.
"I can’t really afford to get in any trouble right now," Huttle says before admitting to driving without a license.
The cop told Huttle that he had to be taken into custody because of his felony status as a repeat offender.
"I can’t, I can’t, I can't go to jail for this, sir," Huttle says.
Huttle then sprinted to his vehicle, saying "I'm shooting myself."
According to the Jasper's Sheriff's Department, Huttle was holding a gun, which the officer believed put his own life in danger.
The officer fired four or five shots, and Huttle was dead a short time later.
