Body language expert sees problems in Harris' first major TV interview as nominee

 September 1, 2024

Susan Constantine, a body language expert, recently gave an interview to Fox News in which she analyzed the body language of Vice President Kamala Harris during her short, edited interview with CNN.

Despite Americans being led to believe that the interview would be aired live and without interruption, what we received were a few snippets from a conversation Dana Bash had while sitting down with Kamala Harris and Tim Walz.

The interview was not live, so it's impossible to know how much worse Harris performed than the edited product showed.

Still, we have a few key moments from which to judge Harris, so Constantine gave her opinion on those.

"When I look at her overall demeanor, she does not carry the confidence or the presidential appearance in her demeanor to command in her position. So, for everything that I saw last night, she definitely needs to make some tweaks to her body language to appear more confident. The fact that she's looking down a lot removes a lot of the fluidity and the authenticity," Constantine said.

"She couldn't come up with a crystal-clear answer, and that's why she tends to bobble," Constantine added.

So the experts don't have any more faith in Kamala Harris than typical voters do.
