Blackout During Heat Wave Would Be Worse Than Katrina: Report

A recent article on heatmap.news stunned America by claiming that a two-day citywide blackout during a heat wave in Phoenix would kill more than NINE TIMES the amount of people that Hurricane Katrina did.

On top of that, some 780,000 more people would require emergency medical attention in a metropolitan area with 3,000 hospital beds.

This isn't a joke, it's something that needs to be taken seriously.

Eleven MILLION people went without power during a deadly grid failure in Texas in 2021.

Excessive heat killed 12 people in Florida after a 2017 hurricane.

That same year, hundreds died in Puerto Rico when there was a months-long blackout.

But what officials are REALLY worried about is what a cyberattack could possibly do to America's people if the attack was focused on our power grid.

"What happens when a cyberattack disables access to electricity for weeks, coordinated with record-breaking heatwaves, which are significant public health concerns in themselves?" The American Journal of Medicine recently wondered.
