Blackburn, Hagerty both endorse Trump for 2024

Tennessee Senator Marsha Blackburn (R) provided a key endorsement for former President Donald Trump in 2024 on Monday as he looks to get the GOP nomination.

“I am proud to endorse Donald Trump for President and can’t wait until he’s back in the White House,” Blackburn said on Twitter, making her the ninth senator to endorse Trump.

“Under President Trump, our economy was booming, gas prices were low, and inflation was under control. Our border was secure, our adversaries feared us, & our military was strong,” she declared.

Tennessee's other senator, Bill Hagerty (R) also endorsed Trump over the weekend.

“It is my honor to give my whole-hearted endorsement to Donald J. Trump to be the next President of the United States. I was honored to previously serve in his Administration,” Hagerty said.

Trump reportedly delivered the keynote speech at a major Republican fundraising event over the weekend, so the endorsements come at a key time for the state.
