Bill Maher points out that Biden's only effective border policy was inherited from Donald Trump

HBO’s Real Time, host Bill Maher responded to criticisms of Joe Biden's border policy by pointing out that the most effective border policy Biden has is left over from his predecessor, former President Donald Trump.

During a discussion about Biden's border policy and Vice President Kamala Harris, Maher brought up Trump’s Title 42 rule which allowed border patrol officials to immediately deport illegal immigrants to stop the spread of COVID-19.

Ironically, Title 42 has been Biden's saving grace despite the administration spending endless resources to eliminate it.

Maher did, however, go on to claim that the issues at the border aren't strictly President Biden's fault and that the border is a bipartisan issue.

Considering the night-and-day differences between Trump's and Biden's border policy, such a claim seems dishonest. President Biden and his administration are committed to open borders, and that is the core of the crisis.

Democrats don't believe in the legitimacy of a border and are fine with thousands of undocumented immigrants crossing into the United States. Until that changes, Democrats will have to continue to rely on Republican policies to keep the border under control.
