Bill Clinton slips during Harris stump speech, admits Trump's economy was 'better'

Vice President Kamala Harris and her presidential campaign are already struggling with just days left before Election Day, and some of her high-profile surrogates are making it worse.

According to Breitbart, former President Bill Clinton made one heck of an unfortunate slip for the Harris campaign during a speech in Michigan, where he admitted that the economy was "better" under former President Donald Trump.

The presumably unintended slip caused major backlash for the Harris campaign, as one can imagine.

Clinton's remarks during the speech in Muskegon Heights, Michigan was so bad that it elicited audible groans from the small audience

"I don’t think it’s right to say that people have to vote for Donald Trump because the economy was better then,” Clinton told the crowd.

Clinton told the audience that people should still vote for Harris anyway, carrying on with the same line as other surrogates in saying that she has a "plan."

Noting that as a former president his judgment on who he believes is a better fit should be taken seriously, he added, “I think I’m entitled to my opinion about who would be better."

Curiously, it's not the first time Clinton has made a slip that wasn't favorable to Harris and her campaign. He previously did so when talking about the murdered college student Laken Riley, who was killed by an illegal migrant.

Breitbart reported:

Notably, Clinton made a similarly apparent anti-Harris slip a few weeks ago, when he said that Laken Riley’s death “probably wouldn’t have happened” if the Biden-Harris administration had “properly vetted” her accused illegal migrant murderer.

Harris has deployed all of the big-name Democrats in the party to stump for her in the final days before voters head to the ballots to choose the next president.

She's hurting the worst in Michigan -- a state so important that it could single-handedly mean a victory for whichever candidate wins the state.

Harris has also sent her surrogates to Pennsylvania, which like Michigan, is a must-win state for Trump or Harris.

Only time will tell who wins, but with slips like these, the Harris campaign has to be losing sleep at night.
