We have known for some time that President Joe Biden is a gaffe machine, but apparently it's rubbing off on his team as well.
Biden's official X account posted a thank you to Vietnamese President Vo Van Thuong for having him visit last week, but they posted a photo of Biden shaking hands with Vietnamese National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue, not the actual president.
"President Vo Van Thuong, thank you for such a productive meeting," Biden's tweet said. "This partnership is about unleashing our peoples’ potential and, with it, a range of incredible possibilities."
The mistake was soon deleted, but not before some screenshots were taken. Twitter users decried the mistake and blasted Biden for it.
It's just another day for Biden, who makes mistakes like this all the time.
After all, he told reporters at a press conference there that he had to go to bed after calling climate skeptics "lying dog-faced pony soldiers." It's hard to top those kinds of gaffes, but his staff is sure trying.
