Biden 'surprised' by discovery of documents in private office

President Joe Biden said on Tuesday that he was "surprised" by the discovery of boxes of documents, some of them classified, in his old private office at the Penn Biden Foundation.

“I was briefed about this discovery, and surprised to learn that there are any government records that were taken there to that office,” Biden said, adding that the documents were in a locked closet in the office.

This statement is a joke, since the office in question gets significant funding from Communist China. He doesn't respect classified documents if he left them in a Chinese-funded office for four years and he didn't even know they were there.

Also, his timeline is suspect. The documents were discovered on Nov. 2, before the midterms. Was he briefed about them then? Surely he's not surprised anymore if he was.

And if he wasn't briefed on them until now, why not?
