President Joe Biden continues to embarrass himself and the United States both nationally and globally.
According to Fox News, his latest gaffe was yet another reason why many believe he will be lucky to finish out his first term, let alone run for and win another.
On Thursday, during an event for the Congressional Hispanic Caucus where he gave a speech, the elderly, often-confused president got his minority groups mixed up and instead, labeled them the "Congressional Black Caucus."
Fox noted:
Biden, 80, made the mishap during a speech at the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute’s 46th Annual Gala in Washington, D.C., as he celebrated gala award recipient Sister Norma Pimental, executive director of Catholic Charities of the Rio Grande Valley.
This particular gaffe isn't one that can be edited in the transcript by his White House handlers, as it was far too obvious.
"I know Sister Norma lives the lessons nuns taught me growing up. Lessons based on the Gospel of Matthew: feed the hungry, care for the sick, welcome strangers."
He added, "They echo what my dad taught me, and I mean this sincerely, my dad used to say, ‘Everyone, everyone is entitled to be treated with dignity and respect.’ The Congressional Black Caucus embodies all those values."
Notably, the president clearly didn't realize the ridiculous gaffe he had just committed, as he didn't correct himself, as sometimes he's able to do.
"Just think of the work we’ve done together on civil rights, labor rights, health care, education. Folks, we’ve fundamentally changed the direction of our economy to grow it from the middle out and the bottom-up," Biden continued.
It was just one more gaffe on an embarrassingly long list of gaffes he's committed as the president, and came just days after he suggested both African Americans and Hispanics do not have high school diplomas.
"We’ve seen record lows in unemployment particularly — and I’ve focused on this my whole career — particularly for African Americans and Hispanic workers and veterans, you know, the workers without high school diplomas," Biden said recently.
As is becoming more common, social media users torched the cognitively challenged 80-year-old president.
"Hard to tell if one of the blue hair diversity hires messed up with the prompter or if grandpa needs an Ensure and a nap," TW Podcast wrote.
While at one time it used to be sad and comical, now it's just sad. And it'll continue to worsen.
