Biden claims in 2020 debates coming back to haunt him

November 3, 2023

President Joe Biden's claims during the 2020 presidential debates that son Hunter Biden didn't make money from China are coming back to haunt him as House Republicans find bank records showing those claims to be false.

"My son has not made money in terms of this thing you’re talking about, what are you talking about, China," Biden said during a debate.

Hunter Biden himself admitted in court that he got $664,000 from a "Chinese infrastructure investment company."

"Lie, deny, counter accuse," GOP Rep. Pat Fallon(R-TX), a member of the House Oversight Committee, posted on X on Wednesday. "The three principles of the Biden family influence peddling scheme!"

Biden's claims that he has never "taken a penny from any foreign source ever in my life!" during another debate are also being proven false by the Oversight Committee.

On Wednesday, the committee said it had information showing a $40,000 payment to Joe Biden that was "laundered" from China through his brother and sister-in-law's bank account.
