Biden administration quietly publishes report admitting cancelling Keystone XL was a mistake

The Energy Department quietly published a congressionally mandated report that admitted that President Joe Biden cost thousands of jobs and billions of dollars by canceling the Keystone XL pipeline.

The report titled, "Keystone XL Extension Permit Revocation: Energy Costs and Job Impacts" was published in December and confirmed that the President made a massive mistake.

The construction of the Keystone XL pipeline would have created 16,149 and 59,468 jobs annually for a two-year period according to figures from the report.

The report also found that the Keystone XL pipeline would have generated $3.4-9.6 billion over the construction period.

Those numbers don't even consider the positive economic impact the pipeline would have had over its full lifetime.

What is worse is not long into President Biden's term, fuel prices skyrocketed and crushed American budgets. The cancellation of the Keystone XL pipeline cost billions and may have aggravated the fuel crisis that crushed Americans struggling to recover from the Covid-19 lockdowns.
