Barack Obama's Secret Service detail accused of huge lapse
The U.S. Secret Service has been accused of letting an armed man approach former President Barack Obama's motorcade.
According to reports, Obama was being guarded by his protective detail inside a black SUV during a recent trip to Los Angeles when an "armed man said he approached the vehicle," according to TMZ.
It seems as though this incident was originally reported by the man with a gun, who turned out to be a security guard for a bar mitzvah.
The Daily Mail wrote:
The unidentified man was there checking on the situation in his capacity as a security guard for the bar mitzvah, after being informed there were federal agents stationed outside, the report stated.
Upon approaching, he says he came across the government vehicle, then snapped an image of it, only to see the former president seated in the passenger side of the vehicle.
He said he quickly walked away, aware that he was carrying a weapon, which might be perceived as a threat by Obama's protective detail.
Agents with the U.S. Secret Service needs to be on much higher alert after what's happened to Donald Trump in recent weeks.
These kind of lapses are simply not acceptable!
