AZ Governor's Chief Of Staff Resigns

After just a few months on the job, and despite being longtime friends with Governor Katie Hobbs, Allie Bones is resigning as Hobbs' Chief of Staff.

The Democrat has seen multiple resignations in her administration just like this one.

Bones was described as a "longtime friend and staffer of Hobbs" by the Washington Post and had been Hobbs' chief of staff since January 2, 2023.

"After four and a half years of public service with Gov. Hobbs, Bones will be leaving her position to pursue new opportunities. Her departure comes after a historic budget agreement that makes historic investments in critical areas like housing, infrastructure, and education," Hobbs' office said.

Bones' resignation is effective immediately, and a replacement will be named the week of May 29.

Recently, Hobbs' press secretary also resigned after coming under fire for threatening violence toward transphobic people on social media just after a transgender person murdered schoolchildren.
