An Axios piece sourced from President Joe Biden's aides said that he frequently spews rage-filled profanity at them when they don't meet his expectations, or he's upset with a situation.
One official said that "no one is safe" from the rage including top aides and that some aides won't meet with him alone because of his frequent outbursts.
It has become somewhat of a joke within the administration that Biden doesn't really like someone if he hasn't yelled at them, even as he presents himself publicly as kind "Uncle Joe."
Not surprisingly, Axios framed the rage as a refutation of his senility as well as something of a power move, ever trying to frame Biden positively.
"Some Biden aides argue that the president's rages reflect his high expectations for his staff," Axios said.
"If there is something that's not in the brief, he's going to find it," longtime Senate aide Ted Kaufman said. "It's not to embarrass people, it's because he wants to get to the right decision. Most people who have worked for him like the fact that he challenges them and gets them to a better decision."
